Medical silicone bandages of the trademark IGAR

The medical silicone bandage has a polymer base, is a sterile medical product, is characterized by absorbent capacity and hypoallergenic properties. Before using the medical product, a consultation with a doctor is mandatory.

The product is available in the following sizes:

10 x 10 cm (cm).
10 x 20 cm (cm).
Medical silicone bandage IGAR consists of three layers:

1. Top layer: Polyurethane (TPU) film that provides vapor permeability and protection from external contaminants.

2. Middle layer: Soft polyurethane foam intended for absorption and retention of exudate.

3. Bottom layer: Mesh layer with silicone adhesive, which guarantees a soft fixation without damaging the skin when removing.

The product is intended for use as prescribed by a doctor. The bandage is used for a wide range of exuding wounds with moderate or weak exudate.

Such skin damage includes:

  • Postoperative stitches.
  • Bedsores at the initial stage.
  • Abrasions
  • First and second degree burns.
  • Other non-infected skin lesions.

Size selection:

The wound pad should protrude approximately 1–2 cm beyond the edges of the wound.
Preparation: Thoroughly wash and dry the skin around the wound; wash your hands and use gloves.

Overlay:

Remove the protective film. Apply a bandage with a silicone layer on the wound, carefully pressing the adhesive edges to the surface. Do not pull the bandage or touch the silicone layer.

Fixation:

If necessary, the bandage can be additionally fixed with a bandage or a medical patch.

Term of use:

Usually the bandage is applied for 3-4 days.

Changing the bandage:

It is necessary to change the bandage in accordance with the clinical condition of the wound, in case of saturation, contamination or according to the doctor’s recommendation.

Duration of treatment:

The total duration of use of the bandage is determined by the doctor.

 

Contraindications:

Do not use with increased sensitivity to silicone.
Do not use on dry necrotic tissues without exudate.
Do not use in combination with oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solution.

The medical device is intended for single use only and cannot be reused.
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged or after the expiration date.
If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Used or unused medical devices (in opened packaging) should be disposed of in accordance with national standards.

The bandage should be stored in its original packaging:

In a dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
Out of reach of children.
Avoid excessively high temperatures and excessive humidity.
Do not store near chemically active substances, sources of moisture and heat sources.
The product does not require special transportation conditions
